Think of Aunt Boo on December 6--it's her birthday. Thanks to Mo for the picture. Wouldn't you love to chat with her right now? I would love to hear her description of Heaven, and even with all the droves of people who would want to see her, she would make time for me and be interested in what's going on in my life--a lot like Mema. They're both up there shaking their heads and thinking, "If those poor saps only knew how great it was here!" (Can you imagine Mema calling someone a poor sap? I digress...) As I try to think of a specific favorite memory of Aunt Boo, I am flooded with bits and pieces of conversations throughout the years. That was how she worked her magic--she was interested. She cared and told me I was special, and she was so funny. What a gift!

Oh, Happy Birthday, Aunt Boo! We miss you!
I'm so glad you wrote this blog. I was remembering this morning that it is her birthday and having many of the same kind of thoughts about her. She truly made a difference in many people lives and will always be remembered with love. I have a picture of that portrait somewhere...I'll see if I can find it and post it. Happy Birthday Boo number 1!
She was always interested in other people. She was my yw leader for a while and I got to be in one of the roadshows she wrote. No other roadshow came close to being as fun as that one. She is one of those people you are so glad crossed your path in life
It's funny, remembering her funeral makes me think fondly of her and her "darling" self, not sad or weird. Pink gingham, bright flowers and lots of pictures...rides in her convertible, validation, good taste, sincerity and fun.
My sister was a best friend and confidant. When the thought first crossed my mind that Bonnie could be the one for me, the first person I ran the idea by was my sister. She was all in favor. Thanks, Boo, good call!
