Todd and I slept in (me to 10.30 and Todd to 11.45). Daylight savings always throws me off. Then we got up and I wrote my Various Stages of Mormonism blog, then Todd got up and went to work (I know..."but it's Saturday!") Then I worked on the gate extention project which is an ornate, Art Nouveau style gate extention that with increase the Kitchen gate's height by about 12-18" and have bamboo spikes along the top so that Fiona-devil-dog can't put her paws up on top of it to jump over it and eat things that we didn't even know we left out (like the coconut covered lamb cake). I worked on the gate project for 4 hours or so and then Todd came home and we went to dinner (with a gift certificate...Yah!) and then we went grocery shopping at Macey's and then we came home and watched our TiVoed shows: Alias, Lost, and Number. Then we fooled around and went to bed. We usually hang out with our friends, the Faulconers, but they felt that it was more important to go on a little family vacation than to hang out with us so bollocks to them. So what did YOU guys do on Saturday?

I have been in bed for the past four days with a deep chest cold, fever, and headache. I have watched the Pope's funeral, Charles and Camilla's wedding, hours untold of HGTV, and several chick flicks. I can't tell if I am feeling better or just getting used to feeling this bad. I am so sick of my bedroom that I have stumbled upstairs to sit at my computer. I look like death warmed over and just hope to keep both my lungs inside my chest when I have my next coughing fit. Those of you in the land of the living, think of me now and then--prayer wouldn't hurt, either.....

Mo, how did you catch MY cold?

Last Sunday we drove home after a few days stay with the Giles parents in Palo Alto. I started feeling a bit icky during the car ride, but by Monday morning is was full-blown sicky, icky yuckiness. Henry had started showing signs of "pink eye" during our trip home, so I took him to good ol' Dr. Yu Monday morning. She also checked me out and said I had an ear infection. An EAR infection? Like a little baby? Yep. An ear infection. I skipped out on the antibiotics (can't stand the side-effects...would rather suffer through an ear infection then get infections in "other parts" if you know what I mean. (Too much information?) She did give me cough syrup with codeine, though, which has kept me warm and sedate through the nights. (Each your heart out Carrie! I have some left...so when you come to visit...) Still coughing up a lung, but starting to feel better. Now Oscar is starting to cough. And Waverly and I both got pink eye. We just have an "eye drop party" three times a day all together. Do I really have to go buy new mascara?... Holy coughing fit...must go.... hack...hack....splunge!

Oh, and on Saturday we celebrated Henry's 4th birthday by giving him all-things-superhero and eating cake and playing games at the rec. room at Taylor's work. Fun, fun! Wish you could have all come.
