Look at how happy she is to have a girlish carseat cover that isn't literally coming apart at the seams.
And Mia, I know how grateful she is to be sitting on something other than hard plastic to enjoy her delicious and healthy meals, she just has a hard time articulating her feelings into audible words.
What can I say, I have a thing for gingham.
I even started by making a pattern out of parchment paper...Heidi Klum and Project Runway, here I come!...do they have a household products line?

WOW! I AM very impressed! I've never attempted recovering furniture-type things. Too intimidating. But yours turned out wonderful and adorable! Seriously - people would pay big money for cute car seats like that. Can I put in an order for a pink one if my baby is a girl?
Absa-gol-darn-lutely! Stacey (Monson) Kirkham has my Baby-in-rhinestones-on-the-butt-jeans right now but you'd better believe you'll get them in a couple of months...sisterhood of the traveling white trash pants.

I want to upholster the world in gingham. Mo, a gingham fridge cover would be awesom! I could make it padded and then it won't feel so cold and hard when I give it hugs! I take back everything I ever said about all of your gingham shirts in every shade and color!

Can ask you how you did it? I really love your covers and would like to have some gingham covers of my own. My girls would love it.

I took apart the old one, numbered them and drew a pic of how they all fit together.
Then I traced the pieces on freezer paper, numbered them the same and used those as a pattern (pinned them to material, cut them out, etc.) I used batting on the head and back (for an extra cushy ride) and then I just used the old pieces as the padding for the entire car seat and started sewing the pieces back together.
