On friday August 18th Buffalo was in Berkeley eating good food and collecting the signatures required to officially be done with his PhD! We are so proud of him for all he did the past few years.

I heard once that a deep tissue massage can sometimes cause the massagee to weep, as a reaction to the release of some long-held stress and whatnot...I imagine that's what it would feel like to finish a PhD after so much personal [and familial] effort and sacrifice. Did you weep? Did you? Huh? How are you all adjusting to your new life?

Hey, I like the hat. I happen to know that was a very expensive hat. I could not be more proud. It is a great accomplishment and M-L deserves a lot of credit for her patience and support. Way to go both of you!
