Happy Mothers' Day to Mo!

A Mothers' Day Haiku REVISED

I wish I had time
To write a pretty sonnet

Happy Mothers' Day

A Mothers' Day Limerick

There once was a mother called "Mo"

Who raised 7 children you know

She toiled for years

Through blood, sweat and tears

And now has 13 grandkids to show

A Mothers' Day Sonnet

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou are more lovely and more temperate

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May

And summer's lease hath all too short a date
...
blah blah blah... more plagerism... blah blah...
blah blah blah... is this ten syllables yet?

How many lines is this supposed to take?
Let's say ten. Yah, ten sounds real good... real good.

And in conclusion I would like to say...

I love you so much - HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY!
I love you, Mom!

P.S. Chip, do you have anything you would like to add?...

I'm so ashamed. I didn't write a sonnet...or a limerick. I couldn't even figure out how to plagerize one. What has happened to me? Mushy brain...soft mid-section...oh, life ain't what it used to be. But I also love my Mo and found your tribute very beautiful! Love the pictures!

I thought I should explain that last bit...
I'm still trying to lure Chip into making an entry into the land of blogs. I know he's a busy guy and all... but wouldn't it be fun to see him post here? I feel bad that he's the only one not keeping in touch here.

I loved the poetry. The sonnet made me laugh. Susie, you are an artist. Mo, you look like my mom! (I bought my mom a flower with my dad's money for mothers day!)

I done like my momma,
she is a nice lady.
She's way nicer than Jeffrey "Domma"
and never acts too shady.

(I rebel from traditional poetic symmetry on purpose, yeah.)
