Boy Oh Boy...It's a Girl!!!
In case you haven't heard the news yet, Abby and James' baby was born today. Except there was a little change of plans. You know that boy they were expecting? Well, it isn't a boy....IT'S A GIRL!!!! It was a grand surpirse for all of us, most of all for Abby and James. All that aside, they are thrilled, shocked, and grinning from ear to ear. She weighes 8 pounds 1 ounce, is 18 3/4 inches long, and was born at 12:24 PM this afternoon. She has a little bit of dark hair and big chubby cheeks. I think she looks a lot like Abby did but don't hold me to that, as babies seem to morph regularly for the first year. Abby was a super trooper and did great. Caleb is very sweet with his little sister and James has fallen in love. She has no name as yet but they will decide on one as soon as the shock wears off. So here are her first portraits.

I'm still reeling which has got to mean that you guys are still in shock!! I love it I love it and now I can say I know someone that this crazy switcharoo happened to. We couldn't be happier!!!! CONGRATULATIONS I wish I was there to kiss little baby girl McCoy cheeks and love her!

She's a McCoy! I can't wait to see her in person. I can't believe I missed this crazy surprise by two days! She was in there they whole time and we believed all those Asians when they confidently said, "Oh, yes, it's a boy. Look at the shape and how you're carrying it." She was there! The whole time!

What a funny surprise. You should name her Robert and dress her in blue for a little while just to get even with her for tricking you like that.
That is SO awesome...it makes me want to not find out next time so that I might have a surprise. Though, it's definitely a bit more of a surprise when you only have all baby boy clothes at home! Congrats!
